Reflective Writing 1

The workshop is just around the corner.

Throughout this few weeks, I am busy paying deposits to the respective companies and keep a good book for our project account.

One of the my positive characteristics is having teamwork with Dess and others departments for anything related to money. I have created an online Excel file that specified for our project income and expenditure and have shared the OneDrive link with Dess and all of our members in the Whatsapp group. Me and Dess are able to team up , easily edit and monitoring the flow of every single cent spent meanwhile other members can clearly see our expense.

Also, I am good in communication, making sure with respective department about the amount of deposits to be paid and paid them on time to the companies for both t-shirt and bus rental, ensuring our event is able to run smoothly. Besides, I also confirm with Shahku what to be prepared for my allocated task-Windows Reinstallation to make sure nothing gone wronged on the event day. Right now, I have downloaded Windows 10 ISO file and boot it into a pendrive that can ease up our installation job on the event day.😄

However, I am lacking of self-confident sometimes, not able to voice out firmly. Therefore, I am not good in playing the role of leading the whole team to work. Meanwhile, I saw Jason's good characteristics of leadership. He is always confident about himself and able to convince and guide others to have done the job well.😅

I believe that positive characteristics such as teamwork and communication skills has to be practiced in a team because working together as a team will not only save time, but also generate better results, as well as strengthen our relational interactions. It also brings people with different backgrounds and levels of experience together and this can help create optimal solutions when problems arise. In addition, teamwork allows us to be thorough in the completion of assigned roles, which will reduce our work pressure. 

Also, via good communication, information can be disseminated to all members, not just only the Head of Department know what's going on but every single members know and involved in this social engagement project, contributing the time and energy to the society. Therefore, confusion, complications and unwanted misunderstandings between members of a team can be avoided.

I truly think that a change in my attitude is required to embrace more positive characteristics. This is because I have to be more confident in my life, so that I can be more successful, leading my team to a brighter path and there will be no regrets when I am old. Also, if I am building up and boosting my self-confident, I am able to share the responsibility with Jason, Afiq and all my members in leading and moving the team to achieve a great success.

Lastly, I should always practiced the good characteristics and implemented the soft skills that I have learnt throughout the preparation for TechLingo in the rest of my life so that I am able to suit myself in the industry field and get into the working environment. Therefore, I can be a successful man that is able to contribute to the society and my beloved country-Malaysia.

Always aware of our negative characteristics and behaviour, and try to improve ourselves through different approaches in order to be a more perfect version of ourselves, no matter what roles are we playing right now. 😄😄

Good attitude is the key to success.
